AC Compressor swap

Hi all –

just bought a “new to us” 1999 Suburban (5.7) to replace our 1999 Suburban (5.7). Compressor is out on the one we just picked up but the one in ours works just fine so swapping them out.

I’ve already had the systems evacuated and just now removed the working one from our old burb. My question is regarding the compressor oil. Since I’m removing a working compressor do I need to worry about adding oil to the compressor before installing it on the other burb? Am I just good to go on that?

Once swapped I just need to vacuum and then recharge?
