I have an issue with the ac compressor. the front seal is leaking when i took the belt off i could hear the pressure start to bleed off. would it be better to just replace the hole compressor or buy a seal kit and rebuild it. I’m looking for a fix that will last. even though the van has 335000 miles. and runs just fine.

This depends upon your skill and tools to rebuild vs replace and costs you will incur… Personally, I have seen cases where it is cheaper to rebuild (Example is a GM Hydroboost brake system)… For that system it is around $50 cheaper to rebuild one than for a re manufactured one, but you don’t get any warranty like you would with a re manufactured one. Faster and warranty… worth $50 to me.
Unless cost was the only factor, I would go with a new/reman one…
