I have a 1994 Honda Prelude Si with ABS and its not working. No ABS light or check engine light and there is plenty of fluid in the reservoir. I noticed the other day on the highway when there was some sudden traffic around a bend, I hit my brakes hard and the brakes just locked up made the tires smoke and everything I nearly hit the guy in front of me, it does feel a little squirrelly when braking hard too.
I think what may have happened is, my friend and I replaced a bad cv axle on the passenger side and im thinking it may have been a non abs cv axle for the non ABS prelude. So my question is what if one cv axle in non ABS and the other is ABS does that mean in one wheel ABS is working and the other isn’t?

I would think if you were missing the signal from one of the wheels you would have an ABS light. Since this is pre-OBDII, is there a way to read ABS codes?
In general, if there is an ABS fault, ABS is disabled on all wheels.
I know you can get the check engine codes by jumping two pins with a paper clip in this connector behind my radio then some lights on the dash will flash and give you the code. But I do not have an ABS light wouldn’t that come on if a code was stored? I will try to pull the codes and see if anything is in there just in case.
I would think the ABS light would be on if there was no signal from a wheel speed sensor.
