I have an 02 Sierra 1500 4×4 5.3. My problem is that my abs light and brake light come on but cycle the key and goes out but eventually comes back on. Read the forums. Did a few tests and determined the abs module is flaky. Code I did get lost communication with abs module. So I changed it. After install I went to start truck and the security light is on solid. Truck turns over actually starts for like 5 seconds and dies. What could I have done to cause this? Truck ran and drove until I took abs module and pump out.
Any suggestions on where to start a diagnosis?

That is a head scratcher. Given that both circuits run through the ignition switch it might be worth checking to see if it’s working properly. I often use the high tech test of juggling the key to see if things start working again. You might also find this info helpful.
