I was changing the fluid in the transmission when putting back the pan.
Two of the fasteners snap off leaving half the screw inside.
I drilled it out but made a mess. I try to use a tap and die but would not.
Leave any threads. I was wondering if anybody heard of that Indian gasket shellac compound.
If I put that a round the pan will it stop it from pouring fluid out I am in such a pickle a small job turned into a big job thank you my friends

      Chevy Malibu 2001 LS 3.1 v6 87,000 miles. 🙁

Get a helicoil kit. Drill them out to the proper size for the helicoil, tap new threads, place inserts, and bolt it back together like normal.

++++1 on the above or drill and tap to the next size if you can.
