I went out for a few minutes and my truck’s A/C was blowing cold air. No Problem ! When I got back to my truck (a 2001 chevy tahoe), I mistakenly turned the A/C temperature knob to “full heat” instead of the blower motor knob. Suddenly, the front dash vents were blowing hot air. When I saw what I did, I immediately turned the temperature knob to “full cold” and the blower motor still running at maximum, but it just won’t turn to cold air anymore.
Interestingly, the cabin vents (passenger vents) are all normally blowing cold air.
What could be wrong with my A/C system. ?

      Thanks,

      Sal

Your mode door is stuck. You will need to get some access to it to pop it loose. The mode door motor is small with plastic gears, so if the door sticks it doesn’t have the strength to free it.
