        You may have won this round but as stated other issues may crop up in the future as the core issue was never addressed and that’s that you have a leak somewhere, I often find leaks at the schrader valves but just to be sure in a situation like yours I often put dye in with the new charge that way any leaks will be much easier to find in the future. When working on AC it’s important that you use good practices such as doing everything possible to not allow refrigerant to leak out of the system into the atmosphere, in fact before R134a came about you needed to be certified to do automotive AC work for that very reason so if you need to service the system in the future be sure to have the system evacuated by a professional and make sure you test the system with vacuum before you put a charge in to verify that there aren’t any leaks.
