’99 Tuarus keyless entry

Hey guys.
I’m trying to get the keyless entry pad working on a ’99 taurus.
I hooked up the scanner and got a 4 digit factory code (4885) but, the book says it needs a 5 digit code. The 4digit does not work.
Do you guys have any ideas?

Why dont you call the dealer and give them the vin? They can probably pull it up

Owner try’d that already and all they said was they could reprogram it for $75. This really sucks..
I’m going to look at another one when I get the chance and see if I can find the code on another Taurus.
Maybe the RAP module has been replaced in this car before.
