99 Jimmy Tranny lines

      My ’99 GMC Jimmy tranny cooler lines are pretty roached and ready to replace, but tranny side connections are juuuust to difficult to access. Theres that cross beam and transfer case that are particularly unhelpful even if I tried to dip the rear end of the transmission. Before I start please advise the most practical approach on this job to access the tranny housing connections?

          Thanx… Some. I think that’s straight out of all data. Saw it once and fraq’n can’t even find it again. Even so, my main difficulty is visualizing the procedure. I don’t know what the images are but they don’t seem related, the ones I can make out anyway lol. I searched this quite a bit and didn’t even find that. No luck on yt yet. Might be time to design a special tool :]

            Can you post a few pictures. I can tell you how I would approach it. Some American cars are like this. The north-star engine comes to mind. No way to replace oil pan gasket seeing as how GM runs a down pipe under and over it. Only to replace it would be pulling the motor, after unbolting the transmission, will some cutting and welding. Nightmare of a design.

              yea gimme a couple days to get back under there. I got the tank out right now. I did find this yt vid with good closeups and a good understanding of the connection contraption… along with, well, It’s not my intention to plug a product, so if it’s not in good taste particularly from a new member I expect it’ll be censored.
