      hey guys,

      haveing a problem with my stratus, going down the road it will shutter here and there, and will stall while back up.

      im leaning toward the tcm being bad. was wondering if anyone could tell me if they can be swap out? iv looked and i havent found one with the same numbers there all different numbers.

        See if this helps. according to this if the same year is used but this learning procedure must be done.

          i must be over reading that link,but all i see is how to remove it

          i have

          po740-torque converter clutch solenoid circuit

          po700-transmission control system

            It could also be a wiring issue. The way to go about this is to eliminate all other possibilities before replacing the TCU. To do that, you need to check each circuit going into the TCU for faults.

            Before you go there, you might try the relearn procedure College man suggested. More info on transmission problems here.

                According to this link The dealer would need to reprogram the tcm with the relearn.

                  ok check the wiring and i havent seen anything, but the shift solenoid connector cover is cracked/broke.

                  other thing. when you put it in reverse and hold the brake with the rpms at 2,000rpm it has a shake and will stall out when you left off the gas

                  what would this mean?
