So today I was driving, and as my car has a bad cooling fan it tends to overheat at idle. So on my drive home from work, it does this again (I’m replacing the fan tommorow) and i get home asap. I allow the engine to cool for about 10 minutes ,but i have to make a trip to the corner store. When i turn the car on, it idles rough, and the idle goes down until the car turns off. No CEL, no leaks nothing. So i leave it for a few hours and come to start again, this time it starys and drives absolutely normal. Could it have been the car overheating that caused it to idle rough and ultimately turn off?
