98 sierra no brake lights

    I hav a 98 sierra that no brake lights, so i tried to replace the brake pressure switch and the wires pulled apart from the plug on opposite side of switch, so i reconnected them and i still have no brake lights. all I hav is running lights I turn on every time i brake , I cant drive at night

      Have you checked the fuse? Do you have a plug for a trailer? If so, check those connection as well…

        It makes me nervous that you used the word pressure. Where is this switch at? If you’re talking about the pressure differential switch that’s going to be tapped into the brake plumbing, you went after the wrong switch. There is a brake light switch that you’d want to look at that’s mounted up high on the brake pedal assembly. According to the wiring diagram, you can jumper pins E and F on the connector and if the brake lights illuminate, you’ve found your problem. The diagram also says they’ll be brown and purple wires.

        its on the brake pedal. and i disconnected the trailer lights and still no brake lights. im just wonderin if i gotta rethe wire cluster from the switch to the harness , it has a plug on each side of it so im sure a chevy dealer will b able to order it for me

          Helo 🙂
          First check if you have Power to brake switch, and if you have , then check if you have out of it.
          you have a stoplamp relay in underhood fuseblock.
