Replaced front drivers brake line on my k2500 and accidentally got air into the back brakes during bleeding (whoops). Like my front bleeder valves the back ones are pretty well shot and rounded. Since I have her parked on grass no way I can safely jack er’ up to replace them leaving line bleeding the only option, is it safe to do on rear lines? Also if I recall right the order of bleeding it furthest away to closet to master (rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, front driver?)?

      Thanks,

Not sure what you are asking but the bleed order you suggest is OK. As for one person bleeding, you will need a bleed bottle for that. if you get a hose of the right size just submerge one end in clean brake fluid and attach the other end to the bleed valve. Clear works better so you can see if there are bubbles.

Ended up using a 6 pt socket on the bleeder valves and they broke free. Was asking if I would be able to bleed from the actual line instead of the bleeder valve but discovered it was not an option since the fitting was rusted to the line (like in the Town and Country van video).

OK. No, bleeding from the bleed valve (high point of the cylinder) is your only choice. If in the future you can’t get the bleed valve out (loose), you will have to replace the cylinder or rebuild it (no one does that any more). Fifty years ago we just put in new rubber piston cups at about 25 cents.

Sweet. So what is the bleed order? Does have ABS gravity bleed didn’t seem to help anything. Have never dealt with whole system bleed with ABS brake light is coming.

ABS should not affect bleeding. It should only be in effect with ignition on and during wheel slip while braking. You pump brake pedal a few times and hold steady pressure then open the bleed valve letting the air and some of the fluid escape(check the master cylinder each time and fill if necessary). Do not release the brake pedal till the bleed valve is closed. The order of bleed is usually far to near but I do not believe the position is that important. Once all are bled and the master cylinder is topped off, repeat the process one more time. Once the air is out of the system the ABS lite should clear. If it does not then remove and reinstall the negative battery cable to reset the ABS system.
