98 honda exhaust mainfold w/converter

My honda civic has a misfire won’t run the exhaust manifold was glowing and I was told it has an integrated converter I was wondering could it be cleaned out

here are two methods.I personally have never tried.
Let us know if they work.The only problem I can see
in your case is that the cat was glowing and may have
melted internally.

It did attempt to start but black smoke came from the exhaust

if you feel the cat is clogged.remove the 02 before
the cat and take the car for a ride.if power is better
then I would suggest your cat is clogged.

I took the o2 sensor off got it to run for awhile and and the cat started to glow and the engine light was flashing while I was driving it i was going to run it to Autozone so they can scan it but couldn’t make it i does have a misfire the only thing I changed is the spark plugs the cap and rotor has corrosion on it could this be the cause of the misfire

A misfire can be caused by quite a few things.
mostly unburned fuel.Try doing a power balance test
to narrow the search.
