My 98 CRV ABS light recently came on. (252,000 miles). It happened a few weeks after replacing the right axle for a blown CV boot. So my first thought was I must have done something during the axle replacement and expected to get a code for the right front sensor. I jumped the diagnostic port and got 6 codes.

12 – wheel sensor (electrical noise/intermittent interruption) FR
14 – wheel sensor (electrical noise/intermittent interruption) FL
15 – wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power) RR
17 – wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power) RL
      54 – fail-safe relay
      61 – ignition voltage

Not what I was expecting. Anyone have any thought or insight??

Great idea!! Should have thought of that myself, however I checked and all the fuses are good. Nothing blown.

alright, well from what i see from your codes it looks like there should be signal coming from all those sensors, and there is none… so my guess the fail safe relay what ever that is may be acting sort of as a fuse to prevent failure of everything, so i would check on what that is and see if that needs replaced.

            and i found this…

so this may be your issue right here!

The saga continues. I cleared all the codes and re-read the ABS codes and only have a code 15 on long 5 short blinks. I researched code 15 and found no ignition input. I also found another site that says it’s a RR sensor and another that says it’s a right front sensor. Changed the electrical portion of the ignition switch because the car randomly dies on the road and the switch is a known common problem. I was hoping this would fix the ABS light but no such luck. Any ideas and can any one tell me what a ABS code 15 really is??????????
