      for no reason the reverse in my explorer went out. All other gears work. I’ve herd this is a common problem with the Ford explorer. .

        Is that the (I think) al5d or something like that? If so, ya that’s normal. I’ve found it to be a thrust washer on the high reverse pack. It’s been awhile though

            It’s been so long. Not even sure they made it in 98. But it was the shape of the drain pan or bolt count.

              its a 5 speed automatic,you got bolt pattern for that one?
