Been having this issue for a while, i think it is a leak somewhere, cheap multimeter isn’t up to task to do a leak test, if i don’t drive for a couple of days, it just died completely, have change battery last year with no help, i do have after market remote starter/remote and radio, not sure if that’s the case, but i remove radio fuse to see if it cause drainage in battery, i do need some advice.

Just did some test that found out that the alternator might be the culprit all this time, did a load test this mourning, idle condition (14.15v) perfect, put load in (AC full, lights on, blinker, etc.), drop to a (12.6v), could alternator be draining my battery??

if the alternator is not recharging the battery and not meeting
electrical demand then yes.Will take the alternator out, and take it to a shop or parts store to test if the diode is bad, or shorted that’s draining my battery all the time.
just put new alternator, belts, idle pulley, started out fine, put it on multimeter and the battery volt keeps dropping like last time on idle, will get new battery with warranty, if that doesn’t work, i’m outta idea??????
OK, just got a new battery, everything is good, for some reason my multimeter can’t read any AMP draw at all, just a flat line, my suspect is the after market radio, i pull the fuse and let it sit for 2 days, checking the volt each day, if after 2 days it starts good, than i know the radio for some reason is bad (or the connection i made), that’s the only method i could use.
Don’t try and measure current across your battery terminals. The only thing that’s going to happen is fry your meter. On the other hand if your trying to measure current for a parasitic drain then most meters will do it, only problem is it will only take a current load for a small amount of time like 10 seconds. You need something fused that can handle a 10 amp load.
And the volts keep dropping when the car is on or when it’s off?

One more question, is the radio still usable, or the connector that’s the problem???
Make sure the wiring look okay, and it done correctly, but anytime a car comes into the shop with something aftermarket, I have to be weary of that.
Over the years, I have had very few problems with after market stereo systems, but very many problems with the way people WIRE those systems. My first guess would be that the radio is fine, it was just wired wrong.

Depends, what brand/model? You would need to go over what the wiring currently is to verify what the issue is.
Single din units are dirt-cheap anymore. So generally not worth even bothering with looking up the scosche(or other factory harness adapter) color-codes for your year vehicle and re-matching with the radio wiring IMO to check unless it’s a higher-end double-din aftermarket. That’s assuming a factory harness adapter was even used, hopefully so.
Should you decide to replace it I’d recommend http://www.sonicelectronix.com if you’re decent with installs such as this and know what adapter(s) you’ll need, or http://crutchfield.com if you want to spend slightly more but get solid backing even before you might need to call.
I’m guessing that after you removed the radio the problem went away. My money was actually on the remote start but hey, I’ve been wrong before. As pointed out the wiring of the radio may be the issue. If things were not spliced together correctly it can cause issues. More info on solving electrical issues here.
