      I have a chevy blazer that cranks but no spark just put in new coil still no start wife was driving it when “It sputtered like it was running out of gas. died and wouldn’t restart” has fuel at the fuel rail. kind of stumped of where to go next

        May be crank sensor, may be fuel pressure… May even be out of gas (these were known to have fuel level sending units that went bad)….

        First see if you getting spark (check spark plugs to ensure they are firing)… You may also try to spray some starting fluid in the throttle body… If it starts, you are probably looking at a fuel delivery issue.. if no spark check the crank position sensor..

        If you have spark and still no start then check fuel pressure

        Also these had the spider type fuel injectors that were known to go bad…

        Many things it can be…

          Check the crankshaft position sensor.. these engines will run with a bad camshaft position sensor but not a bad crankshaft position sensor..

            that’s what I was thinking how would I go about checking that I have the meter just not sure what to check or what im looking for

                  Yea, you need to start with the basics. If you strike out with the sensors, don’t rule out mechanical. If you have a compression issue, or other mechanical problem, it can also cause a no start.
