My car had the second gear slam for about two years. Now the problem is so bad that its not drivable (I got every last of it), the check engine light says P0730 incorrect gear ratio. I’m thinking the transmission is finally toast. Does anyone have an opinion/experience using the JDM transmissions? I’m thinking about doing this myself, I have tools, and shop manual. The one item I don’t have is the transmission jack, I saw one at harbor freight for $140, does anyone have an opinion on that also, like how hard is it to mate the replacement transmission back? Removal seems a lot easier.
Would greatly appropriate any thoughts.
Thanks
