Hi Eric!
I’m still very new and willing to learn more about working on my own car. I’m trying to convert my drum brakes on my 2002 Honda Accord Special Edition 4dr to disc brakes.
I found the rear disc spindle knuckles off of a 2002 Honda Accord EX V6. It included the 5 lug discs, but I want to keep it 4 lug. I’ve done some searching around for prices on 4 lug wheel hubs but the stores have 2 different version, “with ABS” and “without ABS”, I went to O’ Rileys Autoparts store and asked for “rear 4 lug wheels hubs for a ’02 Accord EX 2.3L” and purchased the items. Given the fact that EX and V6 trim models come with 4 wheel ABS.
My Honda Accord SE only has front wheel ABS. When I complete the conversion, I won’t have rear ABS. So in light of the ABS factor, does it matter which hubs I have or do I really need to get the non-ABS wheel hubs?
I’m sure I already know the answer, but I just want to make sure.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
