You either need a set of refrigerant gauges to check the pressure

To be environmentally friendly the refrigerant should be recovered.
The design to get that radiator out by having to remove the condensor is not one of Toyotas great feats of engineering….
If your system is already empty, then you don’t need it discharged. If you take a small pocket screwdriver and carefully depress the schrader valve for a half second and nothing comes out, you can skip the recovery step… It means all your refrigerant has leaked out… Otherwise, have the refrigerant recovered….

thank you for the info it was already empty there was a very short pfft and that was all. Now my fans arent working but i havnt ran it long enough i think.
Well, that made things easier…. Just be sure to bleed the system properly to avoid other issues…
