my brother was driving my suv, started off in 1st shifted to 2nd and engine stalled out.
i put it in gear let off clutch nothing, then i hear a bang and stalls out. stated up and repeat, same thing. can be pulled just fine in neutral.
i have a little experience in manuals 4l60 mostly (Wyotech Laramie). can someone point me in the right directionspects

grrrhhhh… No good. Do you still have clutch pedal resistance? Engine stalled because something prevented it from spinning. Say, you put bumper against a wall, engage gear and let go of clutch – engine will stall. Can’t overcome resistance.
That said, I am afraid you have locked transmission.yeah, neutral keeps all gears disengaged. No connection between engine and wheels via transmission. Something locked up on you. Trannie, front diff or t-case.
i think it is the tcase, but the transmission and the transfer case is a cased pare. i fix one with out the other, got to love gear tcases
