      Well i’m back with the usual bs problems i’m having with this honda…

      Today (Rather yesterday) i was going to go get a christmas present for my brother and guess what!!! My car will not start, it turns over but will not start. It did this before and i just had to pump the gas HARDDDD and over and over and over to get it to start, now nothing works.           Ok i was able to start it, i had to depress the gas pedal all the way down and start the engine and took about 30 seconds but it finally fired up. Any ideas as to why?

          ALSO, i learned that the idiot previous owner had installed an ignition kill switch, The wires to which were not secured by a nut or anything, they were hanging on each other, could this have been affecting my start? I took it out and nutted the ignition wires to themselves like they are supposed to.

              So far it has, I don’t know if it will start not starting again, usually it would do it when i was under a quarter tank, this being because i think the, i’m just going to call him moron, this being because moron (Previous owner) NEVER TOOK CARE OF IT. I think he NEVER had it about a quarter tank so all the “GUNK” and “SLUDGE” or what ever its called is getting into my fuel filter (I was told*). I am not in possession of tools to take out the filter and replace it right now. I know it isn’t the pump because i can hear it turn on. Does anyone think i should just replace the filter and pump together? I am already ordering a new oil pan due to the crack in the one i have now. Should i just replace those 2 at the same time?

                If it’s not a big expense right now for you, I’d say get an OEM pump replacement myself if your plan is to drop the tank anyhow to see what if anything is floating around in there.

                In the meantime, you might wish to put some “heet” in it just before you change the fuel filter. Might have garbage in the tank, might just be moisture, and again could be a few other things still, since you would really have to test to have anything close to a diagnosis. If you could test the fuel pressure when this occurs it would get you at least close to halfway.

                  I would go thru the car thoroughly. Check fuel pressure, Change plugs,wires,ditributor cap and rotor,air filter, etc
