      Good morning all,

I want to start this off by saying I hope you all are having a good holiday season as we near closer to the actual holidays. Be safe as you all go Christmas shopping for those of you who participate in such activities and I wish you the best. I am spending my holidays doing some repairs and I came across the oil pressure switch that was leaking oil on my 97 civic HX. On my 93, there is almost nothing in the way but on this car for some reason they liked making it difficult by putting unnecessary things in the way. There is a wire harness that is wrapped in hard plastic and the PCV valve right in front of it (that design really messed with me even to this day). To get to it from underneath, You have to have the oil filter removed. I just cant seem to get to it without having to remove support brackets and other things to get to it. Does anyone know any tricks to getting this thing out and replaced? Thanks in advance.

      Chris

Pictures if possible….If all else fails I would say just do an early oil change to get the filter out of the way.

Car got hit while parked so now the front end needs work >:/ but anyways the filter isn’t really the issue it is the harness, pcv valve, and other junk that got put in the way. No biggie ill figure it out. On a side note, don’t use Geico. The legal coverage here in Texas insures damages to other vehicles where you were at fault. Both me and the person who crashed into my car have Geico and they closed the case because I did not have coverage for my vehicle damage. I was not at fault, the other driver was in which case their insurance would have to cover it and they have the same coverage as me. I am trying to fight it now but I do not think I will have them as my insurance anymore….
