97 Bravada 4.3 Scan data

      I have posted on the fact that I have been having a P0300 (Random Multiple Misfire) problem/code on my 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada. I am at a dead end with it, and figured maybe if I upload my scan data someone will see something I do not.

      So the attached file is a word document (.docx file) and shows 30 + frames of Live data. This was taken from my Centech OBD II scanner. So it is not as comprehensive as some scanner’s but it does the job.

      I continue to have my CEL (Check Engine Light) come back on after I erase the code and so far I have done the following:

      * Changed plugs and wires, cap, rotor, button (even tried another new cap to be sure)
      * Changed air filter
      * Changed Mass Airflow sensor
      * Changed Throttle Position sensor
      * Ran compression check on all cylinders (my 2nd test was all good)
      * Ran Berryman’s B-12 Chemtool into it (Basically similar to seafoaming)

      I wanted to change the fuel filter but could not get it off. I took it to the local shop and they could not get it off either and informed me that the line was probably going to break if they continued to try. Unfortunately, I do not have the money to replace the line at the moment. The filter on it is not rusted nor is the line surrounding it, so I am unsure why it is so damn tight.

      I plan to do a fuel pressure check Tuesday 05/13/2014.
      I am also considering just getting an entirely new distributor from the salvage yard. Found one for $55.00

      I don’t want to be a parts hangar and yet most of what I have done I considered needed anyways with the exception of replacing the MAF and TPS, in the past when I had more time I would have really gone into this truck and tracked down the problem over a weekend if I could. However, lately I am pushed for free time and this is my everyday vehicle.

      The truck has a strong bogging/chugging while accelerating between 5 to 25 MPH mostly, and seems to improve once it is warmed up to temp. However as I said earlier the CEL continues to come back no matter what I tinker with. (P0300)

            I noticed how Oxygen Sensor Output Voltage Bank 1-Sensor 3 never fluctuates as the others do. Not sure if this is an issue or a false lead due to the misfire in the first place.
