M7za 4 speed automatic, 3.0 V6.
Shifting into any forward gear has a delayed engagement of up to 3 seconds. Reverse engages instantly.
When it does engage, it jerks like it is going in and out of gear, same feel as a beginner driving a stick.
Does fine once it gets going, shifts thru all gears, except TCC does not engage.
Fluid is correct level (check with engine off) and is in reasonable condition.
D4 light works and does not flash.Since I drive my other car, this one is parked. Has only “sat” a couple weeks but I do start it every few days.
I am thinking as a last ditch effort I may remove the solenoids and try cleaning those up, apparently the screens get clogged.Would those solenoids cause a delay engagement? I am not really interested in having this thing rebuilt if that is what it needs.
EDIT – given it’s condition, how much longer MIGHT I have before it craps out completely? Anyone have any similar experience?
