I have a 96 neon that i replaced all the essential parts for a tune up but yet i get poor gas mileage(17mpg highway) it also hesitates while i am just cruisin with my foot barely on the pedal…its a 5spd and im usually at 2500rpms wen i cruise in any gear and it hesitates like its not gettin gas. But my fuel pump is working properly. Last and foremost i can be goin 70mph down a hill and by the time i reach the top i loose about 20mph…y i am so lost on wat to do next….please help

Is the CEL on are there any codes? DOHC or SOHC any modifications? Miles? Have you ever cleaned the EGR system Throttle Body? Champion 344 copper stark plugs? Plastic or metal gas tank? Fuel Pressure 49 psi?
No lights r on on the dash and it has a after market header and a cold air intake and a cat back borla exhaust it also has a full body kit wit a bomz spoiler dont know y its doin wat it is
No i didnt clean egr yet and wat is safe to clean it with also its a sohc nvr cleaned throttle body…how i do that and has ngk plugs plastic gas tank and fuel pressure is 50 psi
How i cleaned my Throttle body was spray some Throttle Body and/or Carb cleaner (mine says both) inside where the Air Intake is. What you do is remove the airbox hose (hose that connects filter to engine) engine side is throttle body spray it in there

You say that it hesitates when you’re barely on the throttle. What screamed out in my head was your brakes. Did you recently change them?
