I know that Eric is a Honda enthusiast and I need some diagnosis tips. One of my neighbors approach me about his son’s Honda. First of all, he said that the car stalled out while the kid was driving. I first thought that the coil was probably the cause because Honda coils are notorious for coils failing, but he said that was replaced? Since the car started and the kid was driving the vehicle then electrical might not have been the issue. Which leads me that the timing belt might be the problem since it stalled while he was driving and doesn’t look like there is an electrical issue? I put my scanner to the car and it displayed a PO715 DTC. The car cranks, but it is not turning over. Fuel issue? I want to help him out correctly, but most of all get the right diagnosis under my belt for future reference. :woohoo:

Since there are millions if not billions of Hondas of various years and models in service we would only be guessing what the problems might be.I am getting P0715 that is a speed sensor code. I just answered this last night, so i will post a link to that topic. I know a lot of info is sometimes good, but things go faster when they are direct questions. so, is the car running now? is it a crank no start?? hear is a video. get back to me.
Here is some help with p0715. 🙂 With the car started try to wiggle the
ignition key back and fourth to see if the car stalls.if it does stall.

Ok. Remember I said at this point the car cranks,but will not crank over. I’m still curious because according what he said to me the car started(it cranked over)and his son drove the car until at some point the car stalled while he was driving(all of a sudden). The car cranked over in the morning-meaning you can rule out the coil. You have spark, fuel?,for the pressure in the fuel still has to be checked which possible leads me to the time-belt because when it goes the car will stall out while your driving? I asked if the car was shifting abnormally because I researched the code as well, and he said that it going into gear(automatic)fine. I also remember that he wanted to borrow an extension from me because he was replacing a speed sensor(Hummm)because the speedometer wasn’t working. Collegeman is this a little more helpful?
