96 Civic – unknown part dropped out

Hi,

when i was working on the belts and pulley, i found a small tube dropped on the floor. i have no idea where it came from and maybe you guys know what it is? Thanks a lot!

Look like a vacuum end. Check around the air filter box for some plastic end uncover. If not check around the intake as well.

You might be able to hear a vacuum leak when the engine is running.

Look like the end are worn as well.

Looks like a vent. Possibly for the transmission. Honestly, I don’t know where that’s suppose to go.

it was under the radiator area when I found it. will definitely take a look at the intake and transmission then. thanks a lot.

Check out your headlamp assembly… Could be a headlamp vent tube…. (look at the bottom left hand corner of headlamp assembly)… These things seem to come out at the darndest of times….

wow its possible because the PS pump rolled and knocked that area few times. will check tonight. Thanks !

I think ToyotaKarl nailed it. That does go on the back of the headlight assembly. I was trying to place where I saw that part and that makes perfect sense.
