      Hi there,

my car is a 96 Civic EK3 MT.
the check engine light is not on but i believe there are some codes set and would like to retreive them.
i followed the video from Eric and tried to use a loop to short the 2 pins of the service connector and turn the key to On(II). the check engine light stays on instead of flashing(long and short as shown in the video).
if i remove the loop, the check engine light goes off.
does anyone know why i cant get the codes or does it mean there are no codes at all?

recently i got a small obd2 scanner but its 16 pins while the connector in my car is 3-pin.
is there a way to make an adapter by myself or it has to be purchased somewhere in shops?

      helps are greatly appreciated
I’m new here and nice to see you all.

      Thanks!

      Wayne
