Hi there,
my car is a 96 Civic EK3 MT.
the check engine light is not on but i believe there are some codes set and would like to retreive them.
i followed the video from Eric and tried to use a loop to short the 2 pins of the service connector and turn the key to On(II). the check engine light stays on instead of flashing(long and short as shown in the video).
if i remove the loop, the check engine light goes off.
does anyone know why i cant get the codes or does it mean there are no codes at all?recently i got a small obd2 scanner but its 16 pins while the connector in my car is 3-pin.
is there a way to make an adapter by myself or it has to be purchased somewhere in shops?helps are greatly appreciated
I’m new here and nice to see you all. Thanks!
Wayne
