hello friends as you know i had a 93 accord that i couldnt get fix so i traded it for a 96 acura tl and my heater blower motor went out and i was wonder how hard it will be to fix and where and the internet i cant get a manual for free to help me out with this repair i done the obo on the control panel and it can up bad motor now its getting cold andf i got to get this fix asap because my kids need heat as well as myself to ride in it if anyone can help me please reply thanks david

Here is the information from a previous post on Chilton’s LIbrary.

– Click on ChiltonLibrary.com link
– Enter C4535896486 under the driver’s licenseThat should get you into the system. Then enter the year, make, and model. Next, click “Repair”. The information you are looking for is under the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning section. Good luck and keep us posted.
Well if it’s a 2.5 TL you need to remove the dash to replace it, it can be a heck of a job really but not impossible. You will have to evacuate the AC and recharge it when you are done. Try smacking the dash to see if it will work again.
Have you check all your fueses?
I think this has two relays for the blower motor.
Does it work on any settings?it usually under the dash by the glove box next to the blower motor look for a 2×3 inch rectangle with 4-6 wires coming out of it
Theres a post an another section of this forum for free Chilton’s online. I suggest checking that out to see if there is any info there for your vehicle.
That little bit of information would have been helpful eariler. It does sound like you have a blower resistor problem. I believe that one is located behind the glovebox on that vehicle. Also please try and keep the same thread going as when you start a new one like this we loose the info that helps with the repair. Good luck.
hello freinds ive put a post on here saying my blower motor is not work eric said to hit the dash and i did and it only works on high no other settings will work so i done some reserch and i was told my blower motor risistor is bad so i dont know but it will blow on high so heres my question where is the risistor located so i can replace it any pictures or links is better for me that way i can see what im looking for thanks friends
If you hit the dash and now the blower works on high then the blower and the resistor are probably bad, I normally replace both if I run into that because there is no better time if you have the dash out anyway. The reason it works when you hit the dash is that you might knock the motor in a slightly different position so that it’s actually able to start working again, the reason it only works on HI is because that is the only time the current is not running through the resistor. I’d love to do a video on this at some point.
