Okay, so a couple weeks ago I hit a nasty pothole in town. Ever since then, I have had a creaking noise coming from my passenger front wheel. Here is a list of symptoms:

      – The noise only happens after I have been driving for a while
      – The longer you drive, the worse it gets.
      – The noise doesn’t happen above 20MPH.
      – The noise only happens when I am accelerating from a dead stop, and stopping at first.
      – After driving for a long time, the noise starts to happen when I turn the wheel at slow speeds.
      – The vehicle does NOT shake or pull at any speeds.
      – The noise is NOT reproduced by shaking the car.

I have taken this vehicle to two mechanics (Dealership and local reputable mechanic). NO ONE CAN LOCATE THE PROBLEM. In fact, when ever there is a mechanic driving the car, there is NO NOISE.. I even drove the vehicle for a good 30 minutes, to make sure it would be making noise. It was making the noise when I got there. They drove it within a few minutes after I pulled up. I have had friends tell me they here it too, I mean after a bit of driving this gets LOUD. This is driving me insane.

I have watched through the suspension noise video.

I would think that one of the two shops would have seen something.

Pull the wheel off and look at the back side of the rim. make sure it isn’t cracked. I have seen steel rims crack around the center where the lug studs go through. they make a creaking type sound when turning.

              The rim is fine.

It sounded like it was coming from around the tie rod area.

I removed the wheel and the tie rod was in terrible shape, so I replaced it, not saying that it should have solved it, but I thought it’d be worth a shot.

I thought it was fixed for a bit, but it still makes the noise.
