I know this topic has probably been answered many times, but I have an issue with the radiator fans. Doing troubleshooting, I connected the fans to the battery via jumpers. One did not work so I replaced it. The other works fine. The relay works fine since both the electric window and the cooling fan relays are the same so I swapped them. Windows roll up and down so it’s not that. Jumped the switch on the thermostat housing with a paper clip, fans do not run. So can anyone tell me where my problem is? I don’t believe these fans have worked in quite a while. It’s a kids car so I don’t really get involved with it until there’s an issue, or it needs an oil change.
      Thanks

If you jumped the ECT and no fans then it sounds like its on
the control side. If you turn the ac on do both fans run?
Since you had a bad fan check the fuses are not blown.

I checked the fuse in the same panel as the relay under the hood, it’s good. The A/C does not work on this car, but I did turn it on thinking it would activate the fans, and it doesn’t. That’s why I’m perplexed. I’ve researched this problem on many boards, and have tried to rule out different things, but I’m at a loss at this point.
          Thanks for the reply
