Was the tune-up performed to repair the rough idle, or did it start runing rough after the tune-up? A couple places to start 1. Look for vacume leaks and even a possible partially stuck open egr valve 2. Test fuel pump psi.and volume

Well I just bought the truck a couple weeks ago and the guy I got it from had given it a tune up a few months back.I will check for some vacuum leaks and the egr valve.Thanks.

maybe clean or replace the IAC valve. you could clean the throttle body while your at it

I would use a vacuum gauge and see what the readings are at idle.

Any evidence that the previous owner actually did the tune up and how many miles are on it? Was this issue present at time of purchase?

It sounds to me like you need to start from scratch. I recommend going back and rechecking those tune up items and make sure they are correctly installed and quality parts, it’s not often that people put good parts in a vehicle that they are going to sell, given that it’s a GM I would say AC Delco plugs are the way to go for starters. After that perhaps do a power balance test and checking for vacuum leaks as these are always good places to start, here are some videos for you.
