The ps fluid reservoir is also bubbling when the car is running. I have already replaced the o ring for the fluid intake on the pump and then tried bleeding the system. What should i do next?

are you using the correct ps fluid that is recommended in your
owners manual? The level is correct? no hoses are kinked? is there
        a screen or filter?

yes i’m using the correct fluid, level is in between the 2 marks as required. I don’t see any kinked hoses and i’m not sure if there is a screen or filter.

your fluid is aerated.your either still sucking air or the pump
or rack is having the issue. have you tried jacking up the front
end and turning the wheel lock to lock.if your pump was run low due
to a leak or air bound as you describe.your pump may be damaged.

Why did you change the fluid, for maintenance or did you replace the PS pump?

                I agree with College Man.

Any signs of leaks? I would also squeeze the PS bellows to see if there filled with fluid.

                Keep us posted.

the fluid is over flowing because there is air in the system. when the pump is running, it turns your fluid into a frothy milk shake which bring all the boys to the yard. damn right mine’s better than yours. I can teach you, but I have to charge.

The P/S bleeding process is comprehensive, and could take hours to perform. You can’t just do it once or twice and call it good.

But here is the kicker, if I had to guess, I would bet there is a small leak where you performed your p/s service… perhaps at your o-ring… and, I would guess that there is a good chance that the o-ring is close to, but not the exact size that is required. Why do I say this? This same scenario just happened in my school shop last weekend. So, we spent hours and hours bleeding the p/s system, but in actuality every time we bled the system, we just introduced more air into the fluid every time we turned the wheel stop to stop. We only found the source of the problem when our instructor traced the lines with a light and found fluid on one of the compression fittings where a student changed out the p/s pump. After the leak was repaired with the proper o-ring, we bled the system maybe 4 times and there was no air at all. 😉

I never changed the fluid. I just changed the o ring and then bleed the system. I checked all the lines and didn’t see any signs of a leak.

one time i poured just like an ounce of windshield wiper fluid into my p/s system by mistake. for my own learning purposes, i let it go just to see how bad thing would get. the next day, my p/s pump was whining so bad heads would turn every time i pulled into a public place. the fluid was pink and bubbly; it looked like as pepto milk shake. i flushed the system once and had some improvement. a second flush of the p/s system solved the problem. i ended up spending like $60 in p/s fluid when it was all said and done.

I would recommend you do the bleeding with the vehicle on the ground. With it up in the air there is no ‘force’ for the system to work against so you have less of a chance of successfully bleeding the system and bringing overall pressure up that will help force the air out. Another trick I employ at times is to park the car on a grade with the nose up and just let it sit for an hour or so before I start to bleed the system. Honda PS systems can be a PIA to bleed, give it time and be patient and make SURE you only use Honda fluid in that system.

The issue has been fixed. I flushed all of the old fluid out and replaced the pump. Filled it up with new honda fluid and bleed the system. The fluid is really clean with no bubbling or noise thankfully.
