95 ford power window?

      95 ford explorer 4.0. driver side window. here what i did. the driver side window didnt work. all other windows work. switch to window didnt do anything. put power to the motor it self motor didnt work at frist. I tryed it again put power to motor again than it did work. put everything together and now it all works. what you think about that? weak motor?

        I think the motor is taking one last gasp. Likely the brushes inside are sticking or worn out.

          Concur with Wysetech…. Have seen this many times before… Putting directly to power will give sporadic results… Best to replace with a new motor/regulator assembly.

            This was a side work job. since it works now he dont want to pay for new motor. but I know he will be back when it goes out again lol.

              Kinda reminds me of a friends Windstar. I removed the door panel several times and whacked the motor to get the window working. Fortunately he got “T” boned and fixed the motor permanently.

                In situations like this I would explain to the customer the false economy of putting a defective unit back on the vehicle.Why pay twice the labour for the same job?
