95 ford idle issues

hey guys i have a 95 ford f150, 302 v8. It starts fine but after a few minutes the idle will bog and slowly drop, sometimes it catches itself and goes back up or i have to give it a little gas. some hesitation driving as well, usually at cruising speed 40-50. i blew smoke into the brake booster hose to test for vaccum leaks and noticed it was coming out of the egr valve, specifically the bottom of it. we’re pretty sure thats a problem, just want to confirm with you guys before we buy the part. thanks for any help – Scott
