95 dodge ram thats been sitting.

So I am getting my grandpas old dodge. He passed away seven years ago and my uncle got the truck. Well my uncle doesnt have the time for it anymore so I am getting it. It ran when he parked it but the battery was shot and the heater wasnt working correctly. Other that no real issues aside from cosmetics. Its been sitting for 3 years or so and hasnt been started in a year. So my questions are what should I do to it? Just maintenance namd be done or is there more to worry with sincenits been sitting? Ive never dealt with a sitting vehicle like this before so any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
