I have a 95 Chevy Blazer 4×4. While driving and when turning to the right, there is a significant jerk. I noticed power steering fluid was low and so I topped it off. It seems to be slightly better but still has a jerk in there. Is my power steering pump or gearbox going out? I’m not sure how to diagnose going about this. Any suggestions in what to look for to figure this out?

Wish I, or anyone could take the credit for this one, but you did the grunt work over the steering as suggested and awesome-sauced yourself out of the problem. 😉

Great job. I am glad that you solved the problem. I have been in situations like that before. It feels great to beat the machine. 🙂

Well the cause of a lose bolt the most common would be over tightening.

Glad you found that problem. I was going to suggest an inspection of the steering linkage for loose parts. Either way I’m glad you were able to find an fix the problem. Thanks for the updates and for using the ETCG forum. Keep us posted if anything comes up with this issue again in the future.
