The car has 175,000 miles on it. It does need a tune up as in plugs and wires.
This miss is not constant and does not follow engine RPM. The occurrences are very random and time wise are spaced as far as two to four seconds apart. The sound is not like a bad bearing. I’ve heard more than enough of those. It has been doing this for some time and if it was a bearing there would be parts scattered all over the road. It is not a sharp knock or tick but more like possibly being a pop in the intake or exhaust. It shakes the whole engine. Once the engine is warmed up it does not act up. Goes down the road very well as far as engine power is concerned.
Any ideas will be welcomed,

Could just be the plugs. Do you have CEL on? Once the gap in the plugs gets wide enough it will cause random misfires. On your engine the plug also fires in the exhaust stroke so if it missed the compression stroke then it may ignite the fuel at the wrong time or the raw fuel is ignited by an adjacent cylinder.
Anyway just check the plugs. You don’t have to buy the expensive ones.
