I have a 1995 Accord V6 with a CEL code P0441 (Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow)
Any ideas what I should check?

Fairly in-depth method in this thread, as well as a picture location to components:

Usually you will find the rubber has dry rotted or the hard plastic tubing will become brittle and break very easy and most of the emission codes are caused by leaks. Hope this helps.

Also if a visual inspection does not yield any damaged vacuum hoses, the best way of checking those is with a smoke machine.
Keep us posted.

November 21, 2012 at 7:26 am #479015Now that CEL problem is resolved. I have another issue to ask about. The car idles fine. But if I give it a quick rev, say to between 4k-5k rpm, the engine would gradually dip below normal idle rpm and stalled. If I rev it to maybe 3k, it would just still idle, but at below normal idle rpm.
November 21, 2012 at 10:46 pm #479171Given the intake components any recent cleaning? Cleaning MAF (MAF cleaner), TB (TB cleaner)? Perhaps yank the neg battery terminal for a few minutes as well while you’re at it, to clear closed loop tables and make it learn new ones.
November 26, 2012 at 11:21 pm #480310Evap stuff can be tough to track down but those purge control solenoids are kinda famous for going bad on Hondas. That doesn’t mean you should put that in first but it sounds like you’ve gotten the issue resolved.
As for the idle problem I often find that someone has gone in and attempted to adjust the idle speed when the idle behaves that way. Check to see if the seal for the idle screw on the throttle body is broken. If it is then you’ll have to go through the factory idle reset procedure after you make sure that you don’t have any vacuum leaks or other issues that might contribute to the problem.
