I have a ’94 Taurus Sho that will start and run great/fine when engine is cool but when I turn the car off it won’t start again until the car cools off some, usually after about a half hour.

Have you floored the gas pedal while cranking the engine over when hot? You could have a fuel pressure regulator that is leaking into the vacume hose and flooding out the engine.

I would start by checking Air mass meter and coolant temperature sensor.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Is your check engine light on?

The next time your vehicle doesn’t start, you need to see if your missing fuel or missing spark. Start with the basics first.

I would personally be chasing ‘fuel’ first. Use a fuel pressure gauge to check for fuel pressure KOEO and cross reference them to factory specs.
You will also be able to complete a fuel injector leak down test also.

You can loan out fuel pressure gauges from your local reputable parts store.

Hard starts can be caused by a number of possibilities from incorrect readings from the ECT, faulty fuel pressure regulator and defective check valve in the fuel pump.
