The 94 Ford Thunderbird with the 4.6, are they good reliable daily drivers? Are there any common issues or problems with them? Has anyone here owned a Thunderbird with the 4.6?

With a 4.6 modular and 4R70W — I don’t see too many problems in your future. How many miles? There are a lot of variables a vehicle of that age. Has it been maintained well? Does it have the service history? Did you check a Carfax or something similar? The Ford 4.6 and 4R70W are fairly tough main components to have. And being the 4.6 the car probably has an 8.8 rear which is indestructible with everything stock. The main components are solid IMO. I have never owned a Thunderbird but I can vouch for the 4.6/4R70W/8.8 Engine/trans/rear combo. Dad had a 99 F-150 that went 256k before trading it in. Trans had to be rebuilt around 200k. Truck still ran alright for having a quarter million miles on it.
