So I had noticed on buying this car that the master cylinder was weeping fluid.
I had also noticed the slave doing the same.
5 months later and in traffic the system fails on me.So today I went about replacing the fluid / master cyl. / slave cyl. And bleeding the system out.
I followed Eric’s 1999 Accord Clutch Hydraulics replacement video. So now that I have the new part, I notice I cannot bring it within FSM specs.
The ONLY way I can do it is by having the clutch pedal’s upright position be stopped only by the clutch switch (which I was told never to do, only have it barely levitate off of the rubber stopper)
On this Honda, is it ok to do so? If not I have an 8 inch high pedal that engages after 2 inches of travel and has only 2-3 inches of disengagement travel.
The pedal feels like its WAY too far out compared to my brake and gas pedal (which might both need adjusting) and it takes my knee from touching the steering wheel to pushing down on the seat cushion, which is bothersome in traffic.
