Ok so out of gate I’ll say I’m sure there is a topic on this and I’ll look a fool for asking and starting new one but work a lot and no time to go through every topic. Looking for your mercies to links if know of previous topic on this.
93 Civic DX. Will turn over but will not start. Could tell fuel pump was not coming on. Pulled main relay and jumped it and fuel pump starts right up.
Since I have 92 Honda Civic put relay out of 93 into 92 and 92 car starts fine. So not relay as many suggest. Fuses seem to check out.
At this point what would you all suggest? Could it be the ECU out? If so how can I test to be sure?

I say it’s ignition lock. If you are POSITIVE pump does not come up.

Dirty or oil-soaked spark plugsYou’ve probably covered this already with the fuel relay, but a long time ago I had a 92 Honda Accord I think it was, 4 cyl and during the very hot summer months it would crank but no start. I did some research and found that there was a small box about the size of a wallet located behind the change compartment to the left of the steering wheel. Once again, sorry if you’ve already check this as I don’t remember the name of the part but I do believe it controlled the fuel or spark, sorry my memory is shot.

Ok so an update is needed on further inspection.
I retested the fuses last night. All fuses checked out except the #18 fuse under the dash. It is the starter signal fuse. It is related to the main relay and how the car starts. I replaced that fuse but didn’t help any. There isn’t power coming to that fuse from what I can see in the test. I was not able to investigate further.
I am pretty sure based on my work that I have spark and everything related to that is fine. One thing I didn’t mention is test of battery and alternator is fine.
I did test the main relay as I said have a 92 Civic I put relay in and car fired right up.
Thoughts?
So if it fired righ up with new main relay that’s what the problem must be, I think that’s the item I had to replace to in my old honda.

took main relay out of 93 Civic (car that wont start) put in my 92 Civic and it started right up. So relay was working in the 92 Civic. So not the relay.
If the relay worked in the other car then its the input to the relay.
could be the ignition switch.Very very likely to be a bad ignition switch as already suggested, the tracks inside the switch wear out over time and kill power to the engine ecu. They can be stripped and solder ran into the worn groove as a quick fix. Remember ECU controls fuel pump power so no ECU no fuel pump.
Thanks very much. One more question about it. If the ignition switch is out would that cause the #18 fuse in the fuse box under the dash that is for the starter signal to not read any power to that fuse?

Usually the way power works is source, switch load.
