93 Honda Civic DX Check Engine Code Advice

Hey,

Recently my 93 Honda Civic Dx started having a slight hesitation and the check engine light came on. When I stopped I took the paperclip and jumped it at the dummy end off ECU. I did not get any code errors. When I drive the car the check engine light comes on and when I stop and turn the car off to insert the paperclip I get nothing. Its like the car when turned off resets itself.

I will say I went ahead and replaced spake plugs and plug wires which helped. I also pulled the distributor and cleaned up the points on it. But the check engine light still comes on while driving.
