93 Honda Civic Coupe trunk leak

Hey folks!

I have isolated the area that presents the leak. As I lift the trunk lid it is on the drivers side, along the channel where the water would normally and harmlessly, just run down to the back of the car. Instead it leaks into the trunk just before reaching the tail light area. What material is best to use in order to fix this? Please note: I do not have welding skills or equipment. I’d also like to add that the actual weather seal is fine, it appears to be a compromise in the metal part of that channel.
