So I have a Honda that drives as it is supposed to for the most part. Two main issues that I have been dealing with and cant really find the answer to them at all anywhere. The throttle is the first issue that I can not figure out what it is. Sometimes the throttle works the way it is supposed to with no problems. other days though, it will feel as if there is a gap between me pressing the throttle and when it actually responds or detects the throttle as open. I have checked the voltage of it and have replaced the throttle position sensor twice to rule out faulty parts. I have the throttle up cable and throttle cable both adjusted to spec to the best of my knowledge so I know it is not that. When the throttle “gaps” it seems to read the correct position of it at a certain point but dips as if it had no voltage between where it reads open and when its fully depressed (I hope that is not so confusing. Trying to word things as best I can). I don’t know what can be causing that. I do not think it is a voltage dip because I have already done Eric the car guy’s voltage dip check using soapy water with a spray bottle. That is issue one. Issue two is that the car shifts rough sometimes and sometimes it shifts. fine. I feel this has some correlation with issue one but it is not consistent with it. I suspect it may be the solenoid that sits on top of the transmission (don’t know the exact name) but I’m not sure. I know that all the time, the car has to bring the rpms up just a little bit in order to shift and I think that is part of this problem. What are the things that could cause these symptoms? Any help is greatly appreciated. 🙂

Are you trying to say when you put foot down car don’t respond till few seconds.

My answer by what your saying ,I would check or replace spark plugs.

        2nd you said

My answer when was last time transmission got serviced?Check the oil in trans

Thank you for the reply. On the first part you quoted me on: the car will act that way throughout the drive until I park and let it sit and sometimes it will not even work properly the next time. I am thinking it may potentially relate to the second part if it is one of my suspected parts.
On the second Quote on what I said: I have been researching transmission issues and its come down to two things according to my sources (because I have tested and ruled out the rest, including servicing the fluid) it is either going to be the torque converter or it is going to be the speed sensor. I have changed the tps, map and shift solenoid. Is there a way to rule on of them out??
