I’m about to replace my oil pan gasket to minimize leaks, it loosing a bit of oil right under the crank shaft and spilling under the oil pan.

I know the crankshaft seal was dry when I changed the timing belt last month.

I also replaced the valve cover gasket so I know is not coming from there.

This is for a 1993 Honda Civic LX 4 door 1.5L.

The manual shows super easy removal steps so no major disassemble.

Any notes I might add before proceeding? Best way to clean the pan after removal?
      Any tips are welcome.

Dried out/cracked/leaking gaskets and seals, a casualty of using petroleum oil.

Ok everything went well, It was a lot more work to pull the pan, took me about 4 hours from the time I parked the vehicle.
I had to remove some brackets and exhaust.

I did noticed the oil was dirty and it was changed one week ago, so now I’m contemplating in doing a engine flush running seafoam to the oil then oil change or oil treatment not sure yet.

Remember this car has 215k miles so I’m not sure what’s best at this point. I’m using 5W-30 oil.

Hi. Great diagram. Where did you find that diagram. I really like how you organized your information.
